Nanna Gro Henningsen
Nanna Gro Henningsen CV
Danish visual artist, based in Copenhagen.Working with video, prints, installation and text based art. Nanna Gro Henningsen has a transmedial approach to art-production and often works with research based and context specific projects. She is currently working with video-montage, video installations and digital print. Her latest video projects have been a cooperation with the composer Jakob Draminsky Højmark. Her praxis is based on the idea of montage as a method to create radical readings of already known cultural and historical imaginations. She is preoccupied with the changing concepts of history, philosophy and politics. Investigations into the history of art cinema and video art; Benjamin, Godard, Dehren, Mekas, Deleuze, Farocki and Lazzarato are informing her current experiments with the video-media.
She has exhibited at Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Den Frie - Centre of Contemporary Art, Overgaden - Institute of Contemporary Art. Kunsthal Aarhus and Art Center Silkeborg Bad in Denmark. And internationally in Sweden, Germany, Iceland, Lithuania and The US. Nanna Gro Henningsen is cand. Mag. in modern Culture and teaches art history and art theory at the Jutland Art Academy in Aarhus.
